If You Need a New Heating System, Now Is the Time to Install

Many homeowners look at replacing a heating system in a pretty negative light. While it isn’t the most enjoyable way to spend your money, you shouldn’t overlook the opportunity replacement offers. Not only will you be getting a reliable system, you’ll also increase your overall energy efficiency and your home’s comfort. But, you also have the opportunity to explore using an entirely new type of heating system, one that may better fit the needs of you and your home.

Types of Heating Systems We Offer

Here are the heating system types we offer at Carney Plumbing Heating & Cooling:

  • Furnaces – used in more than half of all homes, today’s furnaces are highly efficient and deliver warm air quickly. Ductwork is needed to use a furnace in your home.
  • Boilers – boilers use water to heat your home. Today’s boilers can be used with several kinds of heat outlets, including radiators, baseboard heating and hydronic floor radiant heating. Boilers are efficient and provide a gentle heat that can feel more comfortable to certain people. Boilers are also a better heating option for allergy sufferers.
  • Heat pumps – heat pumps work very differently from traditional combustion heating systems in that they don’t generate any heat at all; instead, they transfer heat from one location to another. This makes them very environmentally-friendly and energy efficient. Heat pump systems can be used with either ducted or ductless systems.
  • Geothermal systems – a geothermal system uses the latent heat trapped in your yard’s soil to heat your home. A ground-source heat pump is used with this type of system, and it can be ducted or ductless. Geothermal systems give back 3 to 4 units of energy for every 1 unit they expend, so they are the most energy efficient systems you can have.
